Cash Against Documents

After shipment, exporter sends the shipping documents to importer’s bank through a bank in its home country or a representative in the importer’s country. Exporter’s bank does not deliver to importer the documents required for clearance of goods from customs, unless and until the importer pays the price of goods.

These transactions do not carry any guarantee of payment to exporter.
