Diversity Equity and Inclusion Policy

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) refers to ensuring that individuals have equal access to opportunities in all areas of social life and equal participation in decision-making processes. Achieving gender equality globally, eliminating all forms of gender-based discrimination, and empowering women and girls are essential requirements for sustainable and inclusive development.

In this context:

  • A human rights–respectful and equitable working environment is provided.
  • Equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion are ensured in the workplace.
  • No discrimination is tolerated in any business process—especially human resources—based on personal characteristics such as gender, ethnic origin, color, race, nationality, or religious belief.
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion are prioritized in workforce composition, and gender balance is taken into account in the representation of both genders.
  • The proportion of female employees in managerial positions is regularly monitored, with a focus on strengthening women’s position in business life.
  • Recruitment, career development, promotion, compensation, performance evaluation, and termination processes are conducted based on the principle of equality, without gender-based discrimination.
  • A fair and transparent compensation system is applied for both female and male employees, and initiatives that empower women are supported.
  • Training activities are organized to enhance the knowledge and competencies of all employees, without gender-based discrimination.
  • Inclusive language and visuals are used, avoiding gender-based stereotypes in both internal and external communications.
  • Initiatives are carried out to raise awareness on gender equality and inclusion among employees and society as a whole.
  • Equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion are encouraged in collaborations, subsidiaries, and relationships with customers.
  • National and international initiatives and developments that advocate for gender equality are monitored.
  • Any discriminatory speech, as well as physical, sexual, psychological, or emotional harassment or abuse within the workplace or among stakeholders, is not tolerated.
  • The Bank commits to the categorical prohibition of all forms of child labor exploitation within its operations and value chain.
