Responsible Supply Chain Policy

Responsible Supply Chain Policy serves as a framework outlining our principles and our approach to responsible, ethical, and environmentally conscious procurement practices.

In this context, as Burgan Bank:

• We aim to achieve not only the best financial conditions in procurement activities but also social and environmental value.
• We recognize the critical importance of our suppliers and value relationships with those who share the same approach and vision in conducting business.
• We closely monitor national legislation and relevant international standards regarding environmental and social issues.
• We prioritize supporting local suppliers wherever possible.
• We aim to contribute to the development of sustainability awareness and understanding among suppliers through continuous communication.

We expect our suppliers to:

• Operate in alignment with Burgan Bank’s Sustainability Policy and Responsible Supply Chain Policy,
• Monitor and manage their environmental impacts (such as waste management, energy and water consumption, carbon footprint, recycling activities, etc.),
• Employ their workforce in compliance with applicable labor laws, Türkiye’s relevant international conventions, and other employment regulations, and ensure that child labor is not used in any process,
• Respect freedom of association, including collective bargaining agreements,
• Provide a work environment that promotes diversity and inclusion, where discrimination is not tolerated,
• Ensure a safe and healthy working environment in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations to prevent workplace accidents,
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations and refrain from any actions that violate anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws,
• Monitor their commitments to compliance with this Policy and report them upon request.
